![alt text](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/0/01/Sorcerous_stabber_orphen.jpg "Orphen") Ok, again, round two. Thankfully the admins heard my plea and I found the original [E-D] files that were initially made in 2012. These are the first release that started with the original English dub. So for those who did download the other file I made, you really don't have to download this one unless you want untouched in the sense that English Audio is prioritized and that the subtitles are for Japanese audio are also prioritized. Otherwise exact same thing. I'll also include a Mega link to episode 24 that was missing in the previous torrent for quick download since my upload speeds are appalling. Episode 24 for those who downloaded previous torrent: https://mega.nz/#!5lZCWSxQ!hyzRMXWsf-XqwbNKc4zTebH03DwCumukIuImwr2QWaY
Thanks for uploading/sharing. I had this on my list of irc downloads for months. :P I think most video players support selecting audio, video pairs automatically. I think its something like "Jpn,japanese,Eng,english, undetermined" without the quotes, in preferred audio field if you want jpn audio to be played by default even if the Eng audio is set as default during muxing. There's something similar for subtitles too. So you don't even need to remux the audio video streams.

No problem Bikkuri, it's a pleasure and yeah it's definitely available on irc but I think we're at a generation who have all but forgotten irc LOL. Oh yeah I know but the way E-D do their encodes prioritize English audio over Japanese and I'm just a stickler that's all. Though this was during the golden era of dubs so the English voice overs were actually well done. It's like the Zoids Chaotic Century torrent I put up. The English dub was excellent on it. Once this is done I'll see what else I have available to put up that isn't on here anymore. A lot of it was lost when the site went down a few years back and I just want to give back to the community what they gave me.
Ya mpc can auto select sub/audio IF its labeled right. Sometimes both subs are labeled eng/English 0-o.Least Audio is more consistently labled, I use MKVclever to rip subs and have MPC set to chose external subs over internal. VLC also has these options tho MPC has less issues running stuff even less than MPC BE. VLC would be alot better if it used more codecs. I am a sub snob/weebo so I stick to subs. LOL Also on the other thread/torrent that was taken down someone asked about having a soruce other than ED since ED has some framerate issues, I have name take overs version. fiddling with shaman king subs for uniformity and putting back in missing lines, ect. May up 5 sub/ass files at a time Aegisub is easy enough to use so I can typeset some. Was looking to fix [-__-'] Utawarerumono but it was MPC BE/vlc having issues with acouple eps. I am thankful MPC is still ongoing for a few months I thought it was no longer being worked on.

Did you end up finishing the series Zippy? How far along did you get cause I can understand the annoyances.. Trust me.
usifrenegade Just got to ep 5 on shaman king the worest part of it is running soldats and the Shaman King (DVD 480p) (NakamaSub) side by side at once. Once I get it finished up I'll do a 1-5 sub/ass batch I am thinking of offering 2 versions one with fancy op/ed text and white dailouge, and one thats all yellow(even if you can change default settings to force plain text I still want to try). I like offering a choice but I can get lost in overthinking rabbit holes. Basically what I am doing with Shaman King besides the minor fixes and missing text is add better/prettier op/ed karaoke. Most of the work is done, and exporting/importing styles is easy enough, op/ens just need to be cut and pasted. Also fiddling with feeps subs(which just need minor retiming) to work with Beatrice-Raws Shinrei Tantei Yakumo,Aone has the op/en hard sub'd and I have no way to ocr it , I am bad to burn out but most of this is pretty simple, tho I did burn out trying to fix captain earth, then again 50+ eps is daunting, tho thats why i thought to try Shaman king in 5 ep bits, that way I can't burn out as badly.
any 50 ep BTW, Captain Earth is 26 but random eps have changed op/ens timings.
I mean I was marathoning Captain Earth and trying to retime subs. it was a nightmare. LOL

oh 100% man. Take your time, it's all a work in progress to be honest and now that you've brought up Shaman King hmm.. I need to see what's being offered these days. I think I have a very outdated version myself.
usifrenegade Shaman King (DVD 480p) (NakamaSub) https://nyaa.iss.one/view/566409 is the only new/high qaulity one I know of, basically DVD rips, better quality than Soldats TV rips but Soldats has better subs, least more constant subs, even they have a few errors. I just finished going over ep 1 and 5 a 2nd time, need to do 2-4 and I will be done with batch one.

See that's my issue Zippy haha. I love quality releases. DO not get me wrong on that. But the thing with the older releases, the subbing (or rather Fan sub groups) at the time put so much effort and the translations & meanings came off so much more better and you had TL notes. Like the quality of the subtitles really came through. I think a good example would be One Piece. Eventually as HorribleSubs became the norm and fansub groups such as Vegapunk, UTW etc started realising that there efforts may have been in vain, they eventually stopped. How do you decide between quality of video or quality of subtitle translation? As much as I love the new releases that emphasis quality, I am also a big fan of subtitle work and don't mind some quality loss regarding video since It is more often than not more than watch-able and the emphasis on the subtitle translation often makes up for it. Side note, Gintama is another clear example of that. The translation effort put into that with the original 480p release was quality. Quick Edit: My dumb ass just realized NakamaSub release en-cooperated the original fansub groups so definitely downloading that. But my question still stands if you'd like to answer it.
usifrenegade Same here I prefer translations that are not quite direct(since sometimes it can be data overload when translated from Asian languages to English since you have to explain nuance or history) but also not localized to death. I can't translate worth a flip but as far as I can see and understand you have more issues these days with amount of different shows but mainly size/quality of shows which limits who can play/transcode/edit them, then tact on speed subbing/localizing as the norm its all kinda made alot of the fan subs cheap and lower in quality so you lose better translations and good translator notes because its not the standard anymore and like all things media quick and cheap wins out. To reiterate a bit as far as video quality goes most shows are instantly ripped off the net which limits who can edit via processing power, ect, then you have good enough localized subs being the norm and widely used witch will shift the focus of translations, ect to speed vrs info rich subtitling which reduces the amount of great translators who take time to do it right. Another thing most seem happy with as close as you can get to 720p and since I am running low on hard drive space 720p is good enough tho as long as there are not a ton of artifacts, ect 480p is good enough even today as long as the artifacts are low. Karaoke tends to be a wait for official lyrics thing before they even try to sub them and even then many don't feel the need to sub them(which drives me batty). As for translations themselves speed is the norm these days and most are adequate in translating the brunt of the information. Its a shame too I hate official translations half the time and don't care for most dubs due to over localization's.
To summarize like much of the media industry is all about speed of release and matching average quality, quality for media over all seems to be on a downward curve, tho its been true for decades. NakamaSub's Shaman King is the one I am working on alot of missed lines, ect least in the fist 10 or so eps. Fiddling with karaoke timing is slowing me down a tiny bit As an aside I'll hang on to older better subs, sometimes transcode them to newer formats to save space. ack and another thing I feel American English has gotten more simple than the 90s,ect so it also has an effect on transactions seeking to match the common word usage of the time so it puts more pressure to simplify vrs have editor notes, ect but as I said I its more matching the averages which are on a downward spiral than much else. oh dear god I do not communicate I ramble...

HAHA -- No no your message came across loud and clear. And I agree 110%. It is a speed game these days and as you said, it's how quickly one can process the informaiton. I agree that there has been a lot of bastardization with words due to them having a major shift towards Americanized English. But you're right for the most part. For those of us who want specifics, we generally have to wait.. And times are progressing so files are beginning to slowly shift to smaller sizes. I mean finding DVD quality files at the 80mb-100mb range would have been NEAR impossible 5 years ago. That's x264 mind you, now with the release of HEVC & x265, slowly but surely it is becoming more accommodating towards hard drive space so that's always a good thing. I guess we'll just hold onto the quality subs of old and continue to move forward with the new. Though I generally try and support fan sub groups as often as I can. Especially with shows I enjoy a lot.
usifrenegade I never have extra money nearly takes everything I got to add a new HD, love the external USB3.0 HDs but am wary of how some have default unchangeable encryption(mainly all WD USB drives these days), most of the time the case fails before the hard drive so if it fails and its synced to the hard drive the data is gone since the enclosure has the key. Also since I am learning disabled my information input/output is fcked up so subtitles seem normal to me and rushed ones seem a bit lacking in info, tho I am having a hard time with Chinese Anime since its more complected than Kung Fu and I am unsure how good/bad the voice work is thus I get needlessly confused(mabye more a new thing and my austism hates new LULz), at least with English I know if they are trying or not and dubs are getting better but still alot luke warm stuff so if I can sit and watch its subtitles all the time if not I will try the dub if I have it handy. Also dose not help I am spoiled pleb animeophile LOL I assume it still takes a half decent processor/rig to do fair compression even on DVD's. Still I think most groups do speed so they can pay for some of the overhead, its not a bad thing persay just fewer groups are going the extra mile. I don't really mind mostly minor script errors or even errors in the karaoke if there's karaoke and some effort to not localize to death I will choose it.(tho I do hate super aggravating direct translations like with Mumei in Iron Fortress they never really bring up the thing about her name meaning noname thus there's no point in translating it, its like translating the meaning of the name fully all the time, its out of context and silly that kinda thing should be left to pirate dvds and hentai)
Kejio kinda distracted for a min, looking at current releases its all mostly bare bones but the T&A ones but eh I'll leave that for later was just looking for a BD release with decent subs/karaoke, PGS/HorribleSubs is ultra lame for a full BD archive(unless its the only thing out there), well that and Shinrei Tantei Yakumo seems to have bare bones BD as well so I am fiddling with it now and then just seems to need some time shifting....then of course I had to marathon World trigger in between OCD star craft 2 base building...I hate and loath timed maps(I can beat them but am never satisfied with the results, maybe just need to use the keep playing after victory cheat...).....the more I play the great train robbery the more I think I need Goliath's(yes I know Goliaths are a bad match against Marauders, ect) but the Goliath map is almost as bad. LOL Still can't make up my mind over priced popout flame thrower(should be m50/g50 not m150, it costs more than the missile turret and don;t get me started on the turret upgrade for bunkers, it should act like 2 marines on target and work with the range extender) or the heavy Ibiks cannons for the command center, I wish they would let you have both but the one not chosen takes twice as long to make and costs 50% more resources...I wish modding it was more like fallout/elder scrolls the whole thing is overly PVP focused and I hate that since it takes away from AI depth and general game options and difficulty options....... I am running it on brutal with cheat engine to slow it down so my dino brains can manage. LOL I'll probly upload shaman king ep 1 sub to see what I need to work on before I do the batch since its taking me forever. LOL
After marathoning Kejio T@A subs seem off but they have some effects that can be used...uhg so much splicing it needs, good thing I will fool with it later.

It is tedious storing them and i know full well that burden but until something more reasonable comes along, this is what I'm limited too also. Like I said, it will end up being a patience thing with a lot of our favourite animes that are being re-released. Truthfully I'm still waiting for Trigun BluRay haha. And yeah the Chinese animes are a tad... difficult. Which is upsetting since some of my favourite Manhua's might be getting adaptations soon (fingers crossed). Also unfortunately never played the game sorry =(.
I also put a year or 2 into dark souls 2-3 LOL
Got the test file up https://nyaa.iss.one/view/1063601
And no one seems to care LOL guess I will keep working on it in its current layout.

Sorry mate. been a very trying week, and only getting more full on. Seldom chance i get to sit on my computer these days, which is depressing considering I love my computer haha. I would check it out but I don't think I got that specific release for Shaman King for it too work. I'll have to download it. Also I need to figure out how to change my display photo on Nyaa... It has nothing related in the options at the top..
Its all good not that they have a good way to keep track of posts, ect here, I added the first ep to it since it was small so you can just grab it and test its all 84mb or so.

From what I see thus far, the quality of subs do seem a lot better than the original, like you said. some errors here and there but they're dismissed easily and honestly not many people will take notice of small errors like that anyhow
What do you think of the text size and colors? If the colors are not that bad I may try and color code attack's based on the main hue/color they have tho might be better just to use a light blue color for attacks, I do think moving away from the yellow color for the main dialogue was a good choice. Seems after ep 18 it all is soldats hard subs, mmmmm I may have to break down and find the raws...mmmm
Just get them through Direct links at https://animetosho.org/view/e-d-sorcerous-stabber-orphen.1249600
seed plz, tosho links are all broken
working on seeding for a bit I shall
Thank you so much guys, it's almost impossible to find the season 2, merci!!
