I'm gonna have to side with lemoonnade1801 on this one. My game got borked after this update. Keeps getting the error message: application load error 3:0000065432

Okay, it actually works but a friendly reminder: ALWAYS copy/paste the latest CODEX files after each update.

During installation CODEX always provides a check box where you can tell the installer to include the CODEX crack to the game just to let those that may not know that option exists. You have to check it to get it to work otherwise you have to do it manually. Glad you got it working tho Ahegao.

@yusuke64 You say 1.04 CODEX OK but are you certain? To be certain copy all 8 crack files from CODEX folder (from 1.04 patch) to Atelier Ryza game folder and overwrite > Atelier_Ryza.exe > play. I think that error is a DLL error code. Check if missing other DLL's like (link are in english so may have to get the ones in your native language) * DirectX: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35 * Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8: https://dotnet.microsoft.com/download/dotnet-framework * Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019** and **Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads If on 64 bit OS have to download both 64 bit and 32 bit. They're also in the Atelier Ryza folder if you don't want the latest ones above. I forgot the name of the folder but it starts with _

I dunno anything about Windows 10. I am on Windows 7. Try these things 1. Select Atelier_Ryza.exe > Right-Click > Run as Administrator or Right-Click > on Atelier_Ryza.exe > Properties > Compatibility > Privilege Level Run the Program as Administrator 2. Also see if running it under Windows 7 compatibility works too. 3. See if moving or deleting your settings.ini file works, My Documents > KoeiTecmo 4. Open CMD > sfc scannow > wait till 100% > restart your PC and try to run the game 5. Try reinstalling the game again from version 1.02 > version 1.03 patch > version 1.04 patch > Atelier_Ryza_Launcher.exe > Play If even after all that it don't work try this, if you want to try the below it's up to you. Create a System Restore before continuing. Open CMD copy / paste and enter each one separately. This will make sure it s dll and ocx on your machine > for %i in (%windir%\system32\*.dll) do regsvr32.exe /s %i > for %i in (%windir%\system32\*.ocx) do regsvr32.exe /s %i Restart PC. If it don't work cuz it can't find regsvr32.exe just change system32 to SysWoW64 I also heard for other games CDX file causing issues. Try moving Atelier_Ryza.cdx to somewhere else. if the game needs it try with 1.03 CDX. Otherwise I really have no clue why it works for you in 1.03 but not 1.04. If nothing helps you may have to play on version 1.03.

Oh I see you had it under Japanese characters that makes total sense now. I should of noticed that with the images you showed but I forgot all about that. Glad you got it working now. Also, I dunno if it works but don't forget to change language to Japanese if that is how you want to read the game. steam_emu.ini. > Language=english > change to: Language=japanese For those that may not be aware who speak foreign languages, not 100% certain if different in other languages but you must use ASCII related text for your directory when grabbing any games including Visual Novels from the USA on your computer.
