You know everything you do should be marked in red
Because it is just reencode of others releases
OASC-Rips
@ShareAnime let me remind you that I was releasing multi when you couldn’t, I rip the eps for DkB so stop whining, you should care more about your typsetting releases where the text goes off screen

@OASC-Rips
Red entries (remake) are torrents that match any of the following:
OASC-Rips
@ShareAnime https://nyaa.iss.one/rules only 1 line there mentions ‘remake’ and now I am part of DkB so I don’t see why it should be marked, but since mods let you be verified and miss days or weeks I guess we might have to, still we as a team rip
Kokoro
If you’re re-encoding existing rips that are uploaded on this site it should be marked red. If you’re doing your own rip and encoding from that it doesn’t need to be red.
OASC-Rips
@kokoro thank you for helping us, so we can keep uploading without red?. If we must use someone’s else original rip we will mark it red and state who’s original encode was
Kokoro
Yes you may upload normally without marking as remake if you’re just encoding your own ripped video currently.

@ShareAnime
They are riping their own Encode. i know them. So it Shouldn’t Be a Problem i think…

what is a rip?
okay so a WEBDL. but in that sense if one releases a disc rip, BDMV or DVDRemux, then all encodes made from such releases should be marked red.
would it be right to call encoding from a WEBDL a re-encode?

@kokoro Thanks for the info. We will keep this in mind from the next time.

I guess what Kokoro is trying to say is:
if you download something from nyaa and reencode it, it’s a remake and has to be marked red.
But if you download it from the streaming site (aka do a Web-DL) and then encode it, it’s not a remake since you didn’t take anything from nyaa, so you don’t need to mark it red.
Tbh I’d say that all web reencodes should be marked red, regardless of whether it’s an own rip or not. But as of now the rules don’t say that.

i think all streams acquired 1:1 from a streaming service or discs should be considered first rip. all encodes done from first rip shouldn’t be considered re-encodes, let’s call them first encodes. all encodes done from the first encodes should be considered re-encodes.
Archer0034
@sameer who tf encodes from those “first encodes” dude? I’ve never seen anyone re-encode a judas weekly release.
and Kokoro is absolutely right. If you encode from something taken from this website (obviously except bdmvs and all) then it should be marked as remake but if you do stuff on your own then you dont have to mark it anything.
sameer
you never saw them because they got nuked.
i think more clarity is needed with regards to what is / is not a re-encode, is having single eng dub/sub track in file enough for categorization under English-translated or do they have to be in a specific order, what is / is not an original release.
