UDF is already a good release btw... what is the difference?
>BMT’s smaller encode is best. Only if we are talking dual-audio, then maybe !

@james If I remember correctly UDF's was the one with strange black bars, but don't quote me on it @Nabiro You're right, Coalgirls are probably the best small sub only release
Is this an original encode
nice bloat for a slice of life anime. thanks for sharing though
>UDF is already a good release btw… what is the difference? UDF's version is encoded from the Japanese BD. This, as well as BMT's release, is encoded from the US BD, which doesn't have the black bars around the edges but is instead encoded in the wrong color space. As far as I'm aware, there's yet to be an encode from the US BD which actually fixes this. https://slow.pics/c/FxiPxHsc
can confirm that UDF's release has the black borders, but i'd rather have black borders than incorrect colours is this fixed in AOmundson?
The colors aren't correct, no @ShadowVlican. It's a bit unfortunate but I think I'll be sticking with UDF's release with the black borders until someone either crops the JPBD or re-encodes the color space of the USBD. :(
The colors are correct in this and BMT's release. All JPBD encodes have really washed out colors and black borders except for Winter who has cropped the borders. You can get it from rutracker but it is 720p and has vorbis audio.
So wait, does this encode have the right color space or not?

I'm fairly certain that the JPBD matches the colors used when it was airing, but beyond that it's pretty much just subjective. The only noticable difference when actually watching is that the reds are darker in the USBD (this release) than the JPBD (UDF's release) and the JPBD has black borders. Here's a [direct comparison](https://slow.pics/c/2XTsdoLX) so you can decide for yourself which you prefer.
Anyone who cares about the file size, just get the Doki 1080p release, they look the same quality wise. Just different colors between the JPBD and USBD.
>they look the same quality wise If you really think that you should stop watching quality releases and watch minis instead
