@TheDevilsHyper No, since that require additional effort in TS and editing. @ Zyzyx MPC development stopped years ago so it's not recommend by fansubbers. Mpv is actively developed and most of us qc on it, so I recommend mpv.
I thought the mpc version on github was still being developed and started to use that, but I guess its back to MPV

User
https://mpc-hc.org/ they themselves say it's no longer in development. Mpv maybe bit bare bones but you will not go wrong with it.

I get a lot of frames dropping watching this in mpv. Mostly during the op, but also a couple parts during the episode when certain styles were used. (dark fuzzy stuff on-screen) I think 300 frames or so dropped by the end of the OP, 600 by the time I hit the ED. I think all was well with the subsplease version for episode 1. Any ideas or tips? I have haswell integrated graphics, which imo should be good enough for pretty much any video playback. I'm thinking perhaps some encoding settings you used are particularly harsh.

@iru It could be since we use x264 10 bit and it is more demanding than x264 8 bit which subsplease release is. And we are using kfx for ED and it may take few extra resources. There isn't much that could be done other than using better pc.
Thanks you very much. Episode 4 when?
>haswell integrated graphics, which imo should be good enough for pretty much any video playback you are very wrong about that, as you've clearly learned

>you are very wrong about that, as you’ve clearly learned Video playback != real-time 3D graphics. It's silly to think you need a discrete GPU to watch anime. I fully believe my GPU is good enough. Don't get sucked into the consumerist mindset.
