Did you even search on Nyaa? It's already available on here as Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei.

All the torrents seemed to be dead. I tried downloading every single one that contained rei and none of them managed to finish downloading

Oh okay. If you're looking for other vns that are hard to find I'd recommend using private trackers like gazellegames which has managed to amass quite a few now. I know that Higurashi Rei is there because I've downloaded it from there before.

Audio broke in the middle of Batsukoishi. Already tried to redownload the torrent again and it still doesn't have any sound at all. Might be because of the number of save file, was fine until had my third save. Audio still works in the Japanese exe though.

Of course there are going to be errors if there are problems with the filenames, no? My guess is that the game was not correctly extracted (in Japanese locale or otherwise with a correctly set up WinRAR for instance; and as such, files with Japanese characters in their names got messed up) from a .zip, and uploaded as such, or the uploader got it like this already - I mean, the (JP) starting .exe file's name should already be a giveaway, methinks. "é╨é«éτé╡é╠é╚é¡ìáé╔ùτ.exe"... Noice!! :) @narai Also, "Gun(Äcï┐2).wav" in the WAV subdirectory is the cause for the audio error, almost certainly. Looking at the other torrent of the game here on nyaa (https://nyaa.iss.one/view/438327) -which fortunately has the correct file names-, I guess if you rename the above .wav file to "Gun(残響2).wav" (without the quotation marks ofc), the audio error should resolve itself. EDIT: ooops, just noticed that there are some misnamed files in the WAV\LP dir too - guess you need to correct those as well if you want no errors/a fix for no sound. There are like, 5 files there effed upin there, maybe? Just rename those too, and you're golden. EDIT2: or you can just grab the .zips from the mega link in the OP and extract them correctly.
