Native Title: 時は立ち止まらない Also Known As: Time Does Not Stop , The Taichi Yamada Drama Special: Time Never Stops , TV Asahi Drama Special 2014 ~ Toki wa Tachidomaranai , 时间不会停止 The Saigo family is about to marry their daughter, Chiaki, to her boyfriend, Hamaguchi Shuichi, whose family have been fishermen for generations. While the two families are not satisfied with each other, the young couple decided to get married anyway since they are deeply in love. However, five days later on 11 March 2011, an earthquake and tsunami strike eastern Japan and the destinies of the two families are drastically changed as the Hamaguchi lose everything they have and some of them, including Shuichi, die. Though there is now no marriage going to happen, the two family grows even closer together and understand each other after the disaster.
