What's the deal with the video constantly shifting around (most obvious in static scenes). Is it just this encode or the Blu-ray in general?

Why not just retime the subtitles from the SNS release to the blu-ray? They could use some restyling to an easier to read white font with black borders. But aside from that it would be better than this. I checked the first episode and sadly a simple shift will not work as the timing changes by the end of the episode. Running it through sushi https://github.com/tp7/Sushi should yield a base you can work off though. I'm seeding the SNS release now as it had no seeds, so if you want to take a crack at it you can. This BD encode is better for sure, but still an upscale.
