@vikrant9760 I can make a patch, however, I strongly encourage anyone to just watch SCY’s S1 release. The source for the Director’s Cut is a lot worse and the “improvements” are basically non-existent.

@oZanderr yeah. I agree with you completely on. But I am archiving both SCY and your release since DC has animation improvements as well. So it would be really appreciated if you could release a patch.

@Marche yeah, the first 8 episodes Astral used DDY as a base and then modified typesetting, resampled, retimed, etc.

How did the wrong CRCs get added to filenames? You sure they’re not actually corrupt?

Some (very minor) QC:
Ep01-08 have !? whilst Ep09+ is ?!. (!? is gross and DDY should feel ashamed)
Ep02 has Li'l Bea instead of Beako (or perhaps the rest of the show has Beako instead of Li'l Bea)
Ep06 has ...alse! Barusu! which should be ...rusu! Barusu!
Ep07 has Emilia-sama is having a incredibly difficult time. — a should be an.
Ep09 and beyond have the wrong colorspace.
Ep16 at 27min has I saw you., but it should be something closer to I saw what you did., as the former makes absolutely zero sense (as he’s talking about the messages Subaru wrote).
Ep18 has Betelgeuse in the episode title whilst the subs have Petelgeuse for the rest of the episodes (for reference, both DDY and the dub go with Betelgeuse)

Not relevant to this release, but the terminologies mentioned above should also be taken into account for anyone who decides to do proper releases in the future of multiple seasons, as currently there’s no release with consistent terminologies.

Sorry few more issues I noticed as I finished the series:

Ep22 has If we're really my friend, which should be If you're really my friend, or If we're really friends,
Ep22 also has I look less like Mother Fortuna that I thought. which should be I look less like Mother Fortuna than I thought.
Ep25 has uh, yes, I did! which should be Uh, yes, I did!
Ep25 also has Yeah, but isn't kinda shameless which should be Yeah, but isn't it kinda shameless

I have created modified subs with all of the changes specified by Animorphs. The subs have the same names as the video files, just put them in the same folder and your video player should pick them up. That being said, most of the video files have the incorrect CRC hash in the filename as stated by ElCid, so I have renamed my files with the correct hashes. Here is a link to the corrected filenames for the episodes that had them wrong: https://pastebin.com/cN8ZVDsB
You can just rename your video files by copying the names from the subs.

In addition to the fixes, episode 9 was missing the ed song lyrics. Song was added from episode 4 along with the font file in a subfolder. Both mpv and mpc-hc should load the font from the folder automatically. You can also mux the font and sub with the video file or install the font to your system. I have also included a version of the sub file without the song in a subfolder.

If there is any additional fixes needed I’ll put up a new link.

In the interest of keeping character names official and standardized across seasons, I made some additional changes:
Maylie -> Meili.
Petelgeuse was already fixed.
Gusteco -> Gusteko
There was one instance of Felis that I changed to Ferris to align with season 1. DDY did not use Felis in season 1, not sure why they used Felis in this one instance. Official name of character is Felix Argyle (Ferikkusu, you can listen when he’s introduced), while those close to him call him by the nickname Ferris (Ferisu).
