This is an experimental release of WSJ issue 2022-02 upscaled using my own ESRGAN model trained for 860k iterations. The model is solely focused on B/W drawings, so all of the color pages, informational pages, adverts, and other misc pages between chapters were left untouched in this release. There still are some kinks that need working out and edge cases I might have not thought of yet, but the model has reached a point where in the general case the result is as good as it could ever be, so this seemed like a good point to show it off. I've also been working on a model for color pages but it's far more work to get passable results better than the blurry mess that waifu2x produces.
