Standing By!
Complete!
The retranslation of Faiz is finally complete! This is the Complete Series Batch that includes Episodes 1-50, Paradise Lost (Director’s Cut) and the Hyper Battle Video. This time we are using BD raws for all files. Like with our Agito release, we are using 480p60fps rips of the Blu-Ray.
As said, this is a complete retranslation of the show. While the scrub I released a few years back cleaned up a lot of TVN’s translation, there was a lot of mistranslations that I missed because I didn’t have a dedicated translator looking over all the scripts. This time we had two! So I can confidently say that this is the most accurate translation of Faiz available.
For this release, we’re also using cleaner looking fonts and smoother typesetting. We also translated all insert songs and included them as secondary tracks. The list of episodes with secondary tracks are:
02-13, 16-19, 21-22, 24-25, 29-33, 37-41, 45
*This is copied-and-pasted from my last release because it still applies here:
Another thing I would like to address is the use of copyright music in the show. I’m sure you all know of the infamous Sawada debut scene and how copyrighted music was used in the original TV Broadcast of the episode. This music was cut from the DVD and Blu-Ray release of Faiz and replaced with generic stock music. After some digging around, I was able to find the original TV airings of the Faiz episodes that had cut music and have managed to splice the audio back into the episodes. The TV Rips’ audio turned out to actually be really good (even though the video was terrible) and I’m really happy with how nicely it blended with the rest of the BD audio. So after some thought, I decided to make this the default audio track for those episodes respectively. Now everyone can enjoy those episodes in the way they were initially intended. The untouched BD Audio is still available as a secondary track for those who want to experience the show that way. As for the episodes and the timecodes the music appear in, they are as follows:
Episode 26 – 11:43-12:47 and 16:21-18:12
Episode 27 – 14:08-14:40 and 19:50-20:45
Episode 28 – 13:53-14:49
Episode 31 – 07:31-08:08, 09:31-09:55 and 21:05-21:31

Flame is not a translator. He’s a shitposting localization freak while you’re the coward who won’t put in the word ‘Master’ when it’s literally being said in the dialogue because you think it’s racist. No thanks.
rwbonesy
shut up golden chimera we’re still sick of your diarrheaposting
kaiserstar1
still wished you could of left some words as they are or kept in some notes that tv-nihon had when on top of the screen in a episode; like of ep 2 of the term ‘nekojita’ and what it meant.

Why 60fps? It feels too fast when you’re used to watch 23.976 fps
