The biggest issue is the colour banding caused by insufficient bit-rate. The mushroom head of the main character and the knight's armour, are the hardest-hit areas, and there are barely any exceptions from the series beginning to the end. In addition, most of the graphic resources suffer from heavy line aliasing. A few of them show obvious AI upscaling traces (look like oil paintings), with a certain degree of ringing but no aliasing. Moreover, both the OP and the ED show a certain degree of sharpening, which creates a strong artistic effect, but also introduces heavy ringing. PP involves descaling and reconstruction, anti-aliasing, relatively strong de-banding, contra-sharpening and adaptive denoising.
