Since no one reads these nfo files anyway (excluding some super fans/haters) I'll keep things short this week. Basically, business as usual and nothing really to report. TL-kun and TS-kun worked their magic quickly as usual. ENC-kun found two bugs in the x265 codec. We hope they'll be fixed soon but we aren't holding our breath. For most devices we suggest KODI with either a third party Plex or Jellyfin plug-in. For AppleTV we HIGHLY suggest Infuse. Which will play back our releases for free since we use AAC/Opus audio. All our release playback on PC as well of course. We HIGHLY suggest using mpv or recent fork of MPC-HC with proper libass renderer. Note that if your device can not render .ass subtitles we've included an SRT version of the script. It's the same translation without signs due to the limitations of the SubRip subtitle format. These will work for devices that can't natively render .ass like Roku. ## Deer tips: I saw a lot of discussion from people claiming they've never tried venison before. Rather than type out a long list of dos and don'ts this week (because I'm lazy and tired) let's start with something simple: Venison Burgers. The key to making delicious venison burgers is the key to most things meat related: FAT. Deer is a very lean animal (kind of like rabbit) and produces a very lean meat. It's good on its own but it's much better with the addition of beef fat. As such for your first venison burgers I suggest that you buy packaged beef from the grocery store with a lot of fat in it. Then you should mix it with venison at a 50/50 ratio. This can be easily accomplished by running venison and beef through a manual meat grinder together. Then make patties and cook them like you would cook regular beef burgers. Be careful not to overcook! You want a little pink on the inside. After you've mastered this you can move on to working with other cuts of venison. If you don't want to use beef you can mix in beef tallow or pork fat. Any kind of fat will do. Just know that it will change the flavor slightly. You can probably serve venison to guests without them knowing it isn't beef if you do it right. A general note about wild game: They taste like what they eat. A farm raised deer fattened up on corn and other garbage won't taste as good as one that ran around eating wild grass. Older deer (especially bucks) will taste more "gamey" than younger deer and does. It's important to pick the right animal for harvest when you're in the field. I personally don't bother with bucks anymore because I'm not a trophy hunter. The best deer by far for eating are young fawns that have had nothing but momma's milk. They melt in your mouth! It's basically veal. A guilty pleasure. You'll feel like a real asshole while you're enjoying it. Try to remember God put all the animals here for us to eat. That's how I justify it anyway.
